Description

If The Exorcist is a series about the devil, Inri Cristo was the perfect influencer for our campaign. He’s a brazilian celebrity who claims to be the reincarnation of Jesus Christ, and is an internet phenomenon, with millions of followers and an inspiration for all kind of memes. Inri Cristo has almost 350K followers only on Facebook and has been in dozens of TV shows in Brazil. Last year National Geographic and Vice magazines published stories about him in the United States. We approached Inri Cristo to know if he was interested to work with us… and for our surprise he agreed.

Execution

The campaign had 3 stages.

1. We launched a spot with Inri Cristo that soon went viral in Brazil. People and the media started to talk about our campaign.

2. One week before the series premiere we posted a series of Inri Cristo videos on social media.

We’ve prepared a number of questions Inri Cristo would answer, such as “How does the devil use somebody?” or “Is the internet a gift from God?”. We produced 8 different videos.

3. Before the premiere os the series we posted more Inri Cristo videos. Besides that, we produced a series of spots to air during The Exorcist breaks, in which our influencer gave some messages of peace to calm down the viewers.

Outcome

Miracle or not, the fact is our campaign was a huge success on social media. And God bless Inri Cristo: The Exorcist was all over the news in Brazil and once again we had great ratings performance.
