Description
In order to drum up excitement for the show, which had commercially-successful names attached to it (Ridley Scott and Tom Hardy), WP BrandStudio decided to focus on educating viewers on the rich history of the Regency London period--vividly bringing to life the criminal activity, raucous pub scene, and bevy of societal contradictions. We sought to contrast the era's dark and tawdry underbelly with its refined and opulent exterior with a custom content partnership that was accessible to modern day readers with little historical context.
Execution
WP BrandStudio's custom-built page layout that allows reader to dive into a graphic and gritty account of the show’s time period (Regency London) while viewing corresponding imagery. We seamlessly integrated the show's assets, characters, and locations alongside historical images, maps, and illustrations. The content was written and developed to be eye-catching, informative yet slightly salacious, and excite the reader to learn more about this era and the show. The page ended with a trailer and CTA for readers to learn more.
Outcome
The program resulted in record-breaking engagement on the page and on social media--individuals commenting and sharing on social media praised how informative the content was and expressed excitement for the premiere. The number of unique visitors exceeded benchmarks by 25%. The CTR of our native ad promotions was twice the benchmark, indicating that the campaign imagery and headlines were successful in terms of the campaign KPI of generating intrigue and capturing the authentic feel of the series' time period and setting of Regency London.
