Background

Cadillac is an historic luxury brand car that has influenced pop art and culture masses through the last century. However, nowadays young people consider it like an old fashion car.

In order to preserve our future, we needed to take actions that helped to refresh the brand.

Young people will be our future buyers, so we needed to change their mindset about us.

With this campaign, we proved that we are not an old fashion brand at all, but a brand that goes beyond the limits of time. Because we have always stood by those who most challenge time and its boundaries: the artists.

Art will never get old fashion. Neither do Cadillac.

Execution

There are more than 3,225 songs inspired by Cadillac. Among all the songs that have the brand´s name in their lyrics, we chose just 7 to create this film.

Just after buying the rights of these songs, we used them in a way that has never been done before, and we mixed them to create a new piece of inspiration.

To prove how the brand has left its mark on pop art and culture masses through generations,

we focused in selecting lyrics that were made by artist from all times.

Therefore, in this piece people can recognize lyrics from classic and timeless artists like Aretha Franklin, Roxette or Dwight Yoakam, or by current young singers like Ariana Grande, Macklemore, Miguel or Rihanna.
