Description

In order to attract the best young talent, we made the one thing that we knew young people love the most- beer. To make sure we were hiring the best, we printed briefs on the back of the cans. Candidates had to crack the brief and then send us their responses. The best were rewarded with paid internships, and of course more Intern Beer so they could save their intern income.

Execution

The designs captured comical ‘unfortunate intern moments’ that resonated with our target audience, many of whom had previous interning experience. The playful illustration style was also chosen to stand out amongst other beers and spark a natural curiosity in anyone peering into the fridges. We produced a total of over 1500 cans that were shipped out to bars and universities.

Outcome

• A couple bouquets of flowers.

• A few awkward conversations starting with, “maybe advertising’s not for you.”

• One guy wrote us a song.

• A fish was sent to us. Dead.

• And most importantly, we hired 5 new interns.
