Advertising alone was unlikely to make day-to-day shippers think differently about UPS. These highly stressed, time poor folk were always on the look out for ways to make their jobs easier. Enter Widget, our desktop application, created in the form of a small-animated critter to deliver up-to-the minute status on parcel deliveries. With a bundled RSS reader, Widget keeps them up to date with useful news and sport feeds and keeps the UPS top of mind for their shipping need.
23,000 Widgets downloaded; 235,000 interactions and 900,000 microsite visits led to over 15,000 referrals to ups.com revenue generating activities.
