This idea aims to dramatise the fact that the pause, rewind and record functions of Freeview plus, mean that interruptions simply don't matter when you’re watching the box. In the ad, the actor delivers what is a fairly straightforward voice over, except for the fact that it's peppered with interruptions. The sorts of things that tend to crop up and get in the way of you watching your favourite telly. They're woven into the voice over here and there but the actor just takes them in her stride and glosses over them in much the same way that you are able to with Freeview +.
Ruth Wilson narrates Freeview's latest radio advert, this time for Freeview + boxes. What at first seems a relatively straight read highlighting the benefits of Freeview +, she interrupts her flow by describing commonplace disturbances that could stop you getting the Christmas telly you want. However, listen carefully and you'll realise that Freeview + can be the saviour, letting you pause, record and rewind live content.
