Description
We created a colourful light installation with an invisible message to illustrate how the Great Barrier Reef has lost its colour due to an invisible threat – Global Warming.
Execution
We took advantage of this by creating a light installation of the Great Barrier Reef, with a hidden message inside. A message made from infrared light that’s invisible to the naked eye, but visible to smartphone cameras.
When people took a photo of the reef, the message was revealed on screen.
Outcome
The Invisible Message formed part of an initiative that ultimately led to the Australian Government pledging $1 Billion to protect the Reef.
