Description

So, we came up with a running campaign to make the world a better place.

IONIQ LONGEST RUN.

The idea was simple. The more IONIQ cars on the road, the less air gets polluted. So, what if we all became IONIQ cars ourselves and start running like IONIQ to solve this problem.

Everyone wears an IONIQ band and simply just runs. The distance run is recorded by a gyro sensor installed in the band and is then calculated for donation. This new form of CSR (Corporate Social Responsibility) running campaign was designed so people can easily participate in several ways. People could choose the organization they’d like to donate to and start running using the App or the Band

We developed a smart band, called IONIQ BAND that connects with the app. And participants can connect with each other using the application.

Execution

We started the campaign with a teaser video and on the launching day 30,000 people have already downloaded the app and was eager to run.

We used the app and Instagram to communicate with our participants and encouraged them to share there results.

Outcome

One month later, we were amazed by the result.

Over 36,000 participants had run 573,000km, that was nearly twenty times around the earth. And we were able to make an ample amount of donations.

We planted more than 3,000 trees and provided Ioniq masks to 2,500 street cleaners. We also installed window filters in more than 50 daycare centers, so more than 1,000 children can be protected from air pollution.
