We wanted the music and action to be tightly synchronized so to evoke the feeling of simplicity that comes with using iPhone, supporting the line "Just Like That". We started out with a demo from the artist, Suzi Wu, with tightly syncopated production and individual elements we could isolate. We used the demo in our early concepting and through the shoot. As we worked through the edit, we stripped the track back to stems and put it back together in such a way to tightly choreograph action and music. To push the feeling of synchronicity further we looped instruments and vocals from the track, as a DJ might do in a live set. That helped to punctuate action as well as give the track a crescendo it didn't previously have. A truly creative music edit that delivers on the campaign line, “Just Like That”.
