For the launch of the iPhone Xs, bubbles were photographed under highly controlled conditions to create beautiful, planet-like images emphasizing the largest display ever on an iPhone. Each image was simultaneously shot with two cameras to capture high-res photography and corresponding slow-motion video for on device live wallpapers.
The detailed textures and monolithic nature of each bubble speaks to the high resolution and color accuracy of iPhone Xs’ Super Retina screen, while the arc shape created by the bubble emphasizes the product’s edge to edge display. Every bubble is unique, with three distinct surface textures defined to represent each product color.
These images were used across all product marketing deliverables, creating a cohesive, global campaign.
