Background

We set out to reach adults with moderate to severe plaque psoriasis who are delaying care from their dermatologist due to safety concerns. It was critical for these patients to feel confident and safe going to see their dermatologist, instead of trying to deal with painful flares at home alone.

Execution

To execute our storyline, we chose a flat, two-dimensional animation style with parallax transitions to give it a more dynamic feel. We used graphic shapes to build backgrounds and characters. A thoughtful application of bright color and contrast allows the details to read clearly. The look is uncluttered, so our audience’s focus can remain on the message. We’ve timed our scenes, so they are clear, inviting, and place emphasis to ensure our audience understands and is prepared to take the next action.

This animation represents one essential piece of a larger disease education campaign. The illustrative style you see is pulled through to psoriasis.com, the marquis property for plaque psoriasis education.
