In 2011, Iwate Prefecture, the home of the Private Extra Newspaper Service, was hit by the infamous tsunami, with devastating damages. It has been 2 years since then, and people are starting to feel like they've had enough of media and commercial coverage on the disaster. However, the suffering continues in the affected area. Many people are still struggling behind the scene. Private Extra Newspaper Service by Iwate Nippo features ordinary people and strives to support those who are trying to make one step forward at a time. This is part of a series of documentary-style TV commercials that celebrate the first steps of the revitalization of ordinary citizens of Iwate.
