OVERVIEW

Description

We brought adventure to the heart of the city. To find out how hungry people really were for adventure, we served something special: Jeep Snacks.

Chilli flavoured mealworms, roasted scorpion or a tarantula? These new snacks gave everyone an exotic taste of adventure. We challenged adventurers in shopping malls, railway stations, car parks, outdoor stores and Jeep Showrooms to taste our snacks and win an exclusive Jeep off-road training. Brave gourmets could also order the snacks online.

Execution

The final product was a vending machine with very special snacks inside. Instead of chocolate bars, gummy bears or potatoe chips, all adventurers could get a taste of what you could expect with a Jeep in the outback – by enjoying delicious insect snacks from all over the world. The vending machines were strategically placed at touchpoints across Germany’s largest cities.

Via a microsite, which was communicated on each pack, every brave gourmet had the chance to win an exclusive Jeep off-road training or to place an order to buy more snacks online.

Outcome

With Jeep Snacks, we’ve created a completely new product line, which showcased the brand values of Jeep in an unseen way. In addition, it made hungry for adventure: Over 20,000 Jeep Snacks were served during the four-week period of action. Beside 20 lucky winners of an exclusive Jeep off-road training, we increased the number of test drives by 11 % and provided for numerous satisfied Jeep fans.
