Description

Rock is frequently associated with the Devil, given the influence of figures like Ozzy Osbourne and bands like Iron Maiden.

In order to promote Kiss FM’s loyalty to rock, a film was created to present the concept and the ritual of “Endorcism” (the opposite of Exorcism). This consists of putting rock’n’roll back in the body of a person possessed by the spirit of bad music.

Execution

The campaign revolves around its soundtrack, since the main character in the story is the “Endorcist,” a dark guitarist who will save the victim using classical rock riffs. The villain, meanwhile, is crappy music, once again represented using audio. The bad songs composed are originals, reproducing the styles and sonority of the biggest pop hits of dubious taste.

The guitar riffs are adapted reproductions of passages from classic rock songs – after all, nobody around here is about to try to recreate true rock in a laboratory. The mixing, sound design and soundtrack were meticulously produced and adjusted in order to inject the whole film with storytelling, without a word needing to be said. And rock won out.
