The ideal place to advertise a product is where it is used. Therefore we chose golf courses for our promotion of GARDENA lawn mowers. Nowhere perfectly cut grass is more important than on a golf course. In order to show the extraordinary abilities of the GARDENA lawn mowers we shredded golf balls, printed the information with claim and logo onto the shredded parts and distributed these all over golf courses. Golfers were pleasantly surprised by this promotion and took these shredded balls with them as souvenirs.
Outcome
During the promotion the target audience on the selected golf courses was reached 100%. Since the golfers took the shredded golf balls along as special souvenirs, we had to replace them more than once.
