OVERVIEW

Description

BNP Paribas has organised the Ma Pub Ici (Your ad here) competition, which promotes and supports innovative entrepreneurs by offering them the chance to be featured in the display windows of its 2,200 branches, along with a personalised advertising campaign.

Execution

1/Calls for applications(March-May): registering application on mapubici.com through communication kit shared with bank advisors as well as in-store, digital&social media campaigns.

2/Selection panels (July): 120/456 files were selected to present their projects before 1/8 regional selection panels. A production crew covered the contestant pitches and panel deliberations, creating a wealth of video content for the web, social media and various partners platforms.

3/Advertising campaign(November): following three months of production, each of the 16 prize winners was offered a one month-long, 360° campaign with a personalised advertising concept based on their innovation.

4/The Award ceremony (December): the winner was revealed during the awards evening in Paris. He won his own TV commercial and a SanFrancisco business trip.

All content generated throughout these events was circulated on the web platform, in 2,200 branches, internally to 180000 colleagues as well as link-ups from 2 of the ceremony's sponsors - YseulysCostes (1000Mercis) and MarcMénasé(Menlook).

Outcome

-120 candidates selected from almost 500 entries

-16 winners - five of whom were women.

-16 unique advertising concepts, produced and presented in film, poster, digital and social media formats.

-Visibility worth €3m for the 16 prize winners.

-Over 280,000 votes on the mapubici.com platform

-PR campaigns on TV and articles on the winners in the daily regional newspapers

-15 month cycle, from the application phase through to the TV slot for the grand prize winner.

This ground-breaking campaign has enabled BNP Paribas to maintain a consistent message throughout the year; to provide real value to innovative SMEs with high value-added content; to distinguish itself as the bank that assists and supports innovation; to strengthen its relationship with professional customers; and to facilitate the growth of innovative SMEs – the engine of the French economy.
