Description

We become a part of every woman’s daily schedule with The Ladysaver Soap. Made by breast cancer survivors to help other women survive. Each box comes with 12 soap roses. Each soap lasts for a month and contains a timely reminder that’s slowly revealed with every shower. Reminding women to do a breast self-exam in the shower – a little habit that could save their life.

Execution

Each handmade soap rose was made by breast cancer survivors who embedded a “Check Breast” message into each soap that was revealed over time. This ensures that women will be reminded to do a breast self-examination at least once a month in the shower – where they can act right away.

The Ladysaver Soap is sold in a box of twelve soap roses, helping to foster the habit of regular breast self-examinations through repetition.

This campaign was launched in October, 2015, which is Breast Cancer Awareness Month in Singapore. We started out at the Pink Ribbon Walk on the 3rd of October and the Ladysaver Soap was sold on-ground and online.

Outcome

All boxes of our Ladysaver soap sold out in a just 10 days. And it wasn’t just women who bought it. Husbands, brothers, sons, daughters, everyone used it as a way to tell the woman in their life, that they care.

A simple message packaged in an intriguing and interesting manners led to a surge in web traffic on the website. Moreover, the idea was so successful, we also received enquiries on how to adapt it for other Asian markets.
