OVERVIEW

Description

Introducing the first animated print ad that demonstrates the USP of the induction hob with integrated extractor. Instead of adding digital technology to the ad, we use an integrated solution to transform the ad itself – by simply turning the magazine page.

The magic happens in the print production: Highly photochromic nano pigments, applied in multiple layers, transform in sunlight and generate a stunning effect – parts of the visual disappear in front of the viewer’s eyes when they turn the page

Execution

Highly photochromic nano pigments are applied in a multi-layered production process – offset combined with silk-screen printing. These smart colors react to UV-radiation. In multiple tests the perfect pigment mixture was found and processed to create a seamless transition in which the cooking damp turns from translucent to grey.

The pigments transform in sunlight within 3-5 seconds – and the effect is reversible. The consumer can repeat the effect by turning the page again. It’s pigment-altered Reality.
