OVERVIEW

Background

This film is a series of true stories that highlight the contribution of the unseen heroes behind Saudi's flourishing tourism sector. We shine a light on individuals whose unwavering commitment and dedication are at the forefront of Saudi Arabia’s tourism industry.

Throughout the film, the agency wanted to bring to life these powerful stories overlaid with heartfelt narrations from our heroes. These narrations need to encapsulate their personal journeys and the impact of tourism on their lives and the ones around them.

At the core of the film was the need to create a moving tribute, a heartfelt thank you extended to these tourism frontliners, acknowledging that the significant strides towards global recognition are rooted in their dedication and relentless efforts. Their narratives embody the essence of Saudi's thriving tourism, unequivocally proving that every individual effort consolidates into collective success.

Execution

For the film to be as authentic as possible we needed to recreate cultural scenes with complete accuracy which is particularly challenging in an environment where there is virtually no research, cultural advisers or experts.

We had to ensure we had the right characters involved, from the runners to the director, everyone needed to be involved helping with logistics to access the filming locations.

The production team developed a unique approach to getting all the equipment and crew into remote areas where the access was only on foot. Carrying the equipment up in a ‘chain’ of people up the valley.

At one location the crew had to deal with the local wildlife, with Baboons trying to steal the food at the unit base as well as working closely with the locals and the tour guides to ensure they were at their most comfortable to produce such a beautiful film.
