OVERVIEW

Description

Rather than explain the importance of the European missing children hotline (116000), we decided to let people experience it first-hand. In our three radio spots, we hear people calling the European missing children hotline for different reasons, all relating to Missing Children Europe’s principal problematics: missing children, parental abductions and runaways. To demonstrate the European dimension of Missing Children Europe’s 116000 hotline, we specifically created radio spots in foreign languages. We wanted to explain the situations for which people call the 116000, not only in words but also in real emotions, directly touching our listeners, and bringing the problematics even closer to their own word. Because whatever the country, the culture or the language; the emotion is the same when a child goes missing. So even though people didn’t always comprehend the languages in the spots, they definitely understood them.
