Description

Cindy Yu was a 16-year old texting champion sponsored by Kyocera. Vitro Robertson came to us to develop Cindy’s personal web page. The webpage was to look and feel as if Cindy designed it herself. Complete with a personal profile, visitors were able to view videos of Cindy’s family and, most importantly, her texting coach. Users could also add her as a buddy on AIM. When Cindy received a message, an artificial intelligence bot would answer from a predefined list of responses depending on keyword input. This would make people think that Cindy Yu was actually a real person and not just an actor in an ad. Two rich media banners were also created to drive attention to the campaign. One was an AOL Instant Messenger expandable banner and the second was a custom Yahoo Messenger environment. Video and audio clips from the website were featured in both banners
