Description
In the recent football world cup, Spain was seen as one of the favorites to win the title but the first matches where the national team lost shamefully, quickly turn around that feeling. In order to try and change the situation, we decided to help our players through the figures they value the most, their moms. Carbonell 0'4 is an olive oil used for cooking and what better way to motivate the players than through their favorite dishes prepared by their moms? In order to promote this initiative, we organized a PR event for the press where they could witness the cooking skills of these mothers and the dishes they made for their "children". After the dishes were ready to go, we send them to the national team in Brasil. Also, the general public had the chance to get their own "mom's dishes" ordering them through the website we made for it.
Execution
Initial presentation of campaign to our client.
Contact manager of football players and make graphic design of the campaign.
Close contracts with mothers of players and web page design
Call for media and assembling press conference and track media appearances.
The duration of this campaign depended on the length of Spain in the World Cup. Finally the campaign lasted until June 23 with the last match of the selection.
Outcome
With an investment of only 87,000€, we obtained more than 1,500% of R.O.I. with an estimated value of investment of more than 1,400,000€. And more importantly, the sales of Carbonell 0,4 increased more than 50% in comparison to the previous year.
