Background
The brief was simply to communicate that Pledge® products can be used to clean almost any surface in your home. The challenge was that people typically only think of them as wood cleaners and modern households don’t contain nearly as much wood as they used to.
Idea
Throughout its history, Pledge® cleaners have been associated with wood furniture. As styles change modern households contain less and less of it, meaning less user frequency for Pledge® cleaners. However, the reality is that Pledge® products can be used on a wide range of surfaces. Over 100 to be exact. That’s why we created multi-surface furniture. By partnering with designers, we crafted three original pieces built out of multiple surfaces that can all be cleaned by Pledge® Clean It Multisurface Cleaner.
Execution
We partnered with three designers to create and build three original pieces of furniture out of multiple different surfaces. We then featured them in an OOH campaign, spreading our message in a groundbreaking way and getting people to look at Pledge® cleaners like never before.
Outcome
As SCJ is a family and privately held company, they do not allow us to provide sales results or otherwise.
