Tivoli Gardens in Copenhagen is one of the World’s most famous amusement parks. But it’s also a magical stage for hundreds of cultural events every year. From classical music concerts to live shows with the biggest stars in popular music. The brief was to make a series of posters that invite locals to check out the wide variety of concerts that Tivoli host right in the middle of the famous park.

It doesn’t get much more iconic than Tivoli Gardens and the amusement park’s old rollercoaster and the Golden Tower are two of the most famous and recognisable rides in Denmark. Changing these icons into note sheets made for a series of iconic posters with remarkable brand relevance and a strong visual design.

Tivoli Gardens has a long and famous heritage in poster design. This series of posters is quite possibly the most minimalist to date. We have studied classic note sheets and explored how we can create something timeless and eye catching with a simple twist of Tivoli Gardens’ iconic scenery. A design that tells the story of classic music concerts in the famous amusement park.

This year, for the first time, booking in advance was necessary for several of Tivoli’s Friday concerts because of the huge demand. Because of covid lockdowns, results and attendances are difficult to compare to previous years though.
