On this Valentine’s Day we created My Heartbeats, the first application that sends the most personal declaration of love: the sound of your heart. Just place your finger on your smartphone’s camera and the app detects your heart rate and transforms it into a 10 seconds recording of your most personal emotion: your very own heart beat.
In order to communicate the launch of this app, we created a special print ad in magazines where people could actually test the mechanics of the upcoming mobile app. By using a special sensor and an integrated circuit placed between two consecutive pages, we managed to recreate this very personal and unique interaction. When pushing the two buttons on the bottom of the page, the sensor recorded your own heartbeat and a small speaker would play the actual sound of your heart at that moment.
