Background

Parco opened as a Japanese fashion building in 1969. Beyond retail, it supports a wide range of entertainment, including theaters, cinemas, galleries, publishing, and music ventures, while also fostering young artists. Since its inception, Parco has collaborated with leading creators of the time to produce avant-garde advertisements that express the spirit of Parco rather than merely promoting specific products.

Notable artists include Eisako Ishioka, Harumi Yamaguchi, and Tsuguya Inoue in the 1970s, as well as MM (Paris), Jamie Reid, and Jorgen Teller in recent years, collaborating with globally acclaimed artists.

Together with trending artists of each era, Parco releases advertisements embodying messages that reflect the zeitgeist.

Execution

To capture the unseen landscapes beyond the "NEW DEPARTURE", filming occurred in nature-rich Mallorca, Spain. Spring featured a fantasy forest, summer unfolded amidst modern architecture, autumn graced historical buildings, and winter scenes embraced the majestic mountains.

We enlisted dancers to express the Dragonfly’s extravagant lifestyle through choreography, celebrating the seasons alongside.

In portraying the contrasting personalities of the Ant and the Dragonfly, we carefully considered their fashion choices. The Dragonfly's extravagant attire symbolizes a vibrant lifestyle, while the industrious Ant is clad in outfits projecting a sturdy image.

The campaign unfolded in two parts: the first half of the story released during the SS season, and the second half, from the turning point to the conclusion, revealed in the AW season, creating a narrative spanning the year.

To accentuate the year-long tale, we introduced variations in costumes and filming locations, remaining conscious of the seasonal changes.
