Description
We took 30 kids from all over Greater China and put them through their paces with pro coaches and the best athletes on the planet. Pushing them further and harder than they thought possible.
We created the world’s most advanced basketball coaching tool. An integrated training ecosystem, comprising of a simple, intuitive coaching app, incredibly accurate tracking and fully reactive LED court and used it to train them to a level they had never before experienced.
We shared this incredible journey with the nation through 7 weekly, real-time episodes. Millions tuned in online to follow the story and see which 12 kids would make the final team. The story of RISE sparked conversation and debate across the whole of China as to the value of sport.
Execution
Rise was broadcast nationwide across Greater China using a through the line approach. The story played out across TV, digital, mobile and OOH as the show inspired and captivated the nation. We created an entire campaign around 7 weekly ’real time’ episodes. In a Nike content first, the episodes lived on Nike.com, alongside relevant products featured in the show, and also aired on China’s biggest media platform, Tencent.
Outcome
We delivered a message that transcended sport and spread out into wider culture, changing the perceptions and attitudes of a whole generation towards basketball. We used the values, message and story of RISE to inspire kids across Greater China and beyond to play and train more.
We gave a whole nation of kids self-belief, helping them turn that inspiration into the drive to become better athletes, proving that anyone can RISE.
