Description
An entire scripted campaign was produced to launch a national anti-sexual assault/domestic violence campaign in the US.
But in the course of filming the original spots, many of those participating found themselves being overwhelmed by the subject matter.
Whether because they themselves were survivors or because they had friends/loved ones who were affected, the emotions took over. The cameras kept rolling, capturing the moments when they were unable to maintain their composure, in spite of their best efforts to stave off tears.
After filming, individuals were approached privately and were given the ability to deny or grant permission to expose their vulnerability on national TV.
