Description
Building materials catalogues all look alike and everyone is confronted with the same problem: when you start remodeling, it is always hard to picture the final result and imagine what the materials we chose will look like in the end.
We had to find a groundbreaking way of promoting the materials in the Point P catalogue, allowing everyone to project themselves and have a concrete vision of the result of the works before they even started.
Execution
In collaboration with a studio specializing in virtual-reality masks technology, we were able to create a software that allows transforming blue prints in virtual reality. With a larger-than-life rendering, the immersion is complete.
We then integrated the wall and floor coverings as well as the bathroom furniture from the Point P catalogue, so that they can be changed with one simple motion of the hand.
This was made possible by combining the Oculus with the Leap Motion gesture recognition technology, a tool that makes it possible for you to move without leaving your chair.
Outcome
The experience stands out on the building industry landscape, and has allowed us to get one of the highest foot traffic. The sales of the products featured in the Custom House have increased dramatically till 82% as the figures nearly doubled.
VR Custom House is the new solution that is about to dramatically change the building trade, as it offers to literally see the final result of construction works before they even started, allowing all your ideas to see the light.
