Bol.com has no physical stores and had to look for another solution. We decided to take it a step further. That's why we invited seven famous Flemish writers to take place behind our webcam during the book fair. With bol.com’s online signing sessions we brought the authors literally into the homes of fans.
Outcome
The campaign helped bol.com build the brand, as well as sell their products.
Total brand awareness increased by 11%
Brand preference doubled (21% -> 42%)
Traffic to the website rose by 26%
Click Through Rate banner campaign 7.83% (benchmark between 1% and 2%)
Book sales of participating authors increased by 24%
Overall book sales increased by 14% compared to previous months
The campaign allowed bol.com to become the number 1 online bookstore in Belgium, overtaking Amazon and Fnac. (Kpi's: Total Awareness + Consideration)
