Description
In 1998, the harbour city of Hamburg was the birthplace of the rise of the brand BIONADE. In 2008, to celebrate its tenth anniversary, the company wanted to thank the people of Hamburg in an unconventional way.
Execution
In the summer of 2008, BIONADE set a mark with an unconventional installation: the company constructed a monument consisting of more than 6,600 BIONADE crates, spelling out the words "Thanks Hamburg", opposite the tourist attraction of Hamburg’s Landungsbrücken (Landings Bridges). More than 6 metres high and 100 metres long.
Outcome
The word monument received nationwide media coverage. More than 1 million of Hamburg’s residents and visitors to the city saw the installation live face-to-face. Unfortunately, we cannot say how often it was photographed or filmed.
