Description
This idea came together as we decided to literally bring this movie to life using O2L to create this custom experience. The goal was to really scare O2L's audience and we wanted to create this experience that truly felt real to them and to make them feel a part of it. We felt that the perfect way to do that was to have Kian Lawley form O2L go missing for a week and remove him from social media during that time. To cap off this program, we wanted to tap into this audience and have them join O2L in an offline experience to help bring Kian back into their lives on YouTube and social media all through the power of the Ouija board. A Haunted House was the perfect location to pull this stunt off and to keep the tone of the program where it was during Kian's disappearance.
Outcome
The program delivered over 5MM views, 200K Likes, 12% Earned Media Impressions, over 3MM Vine loops, and culminated in a live haunted house fan experience in Chicago where Kian surprisingly resurfaced in front of a crowd appearing to meet other members of O2L.
