Playground is the store that playfully tells you to get out, it’s one of their convictions that adventure is never far away. With that in mind and 16 square feet of outside ingeniously located inside the store, we decided to put their products to the test.We filled the space with snow and let 25 year old Stefan Kits live there isolated day and night for ten days in the middle of the Christmas frenzy, only equipped with things from the store. He tested the products while being observed by curios customers in the shop and the webcamera.

Outcome

The campaign helped Playground beat last year’s Christmas sales record by 29%. Stefan got several fans, both teenage girls and families, that visited him repeatedly during the ten days he was snowed in, writing messages to him and checking how he was doing.

Swedish public service radio made an interview with him and the night before Christmas, when he was rescued, over 70 people were in the store to welcome him out.
