Background

With breakdancing set to debut as an Olympic sport in Paris in 2024, drawing significant global attention to street dance culture, Nike's brief was to create an authentic, cinematic dance campaign that celebrates street dance worldwide and cements the brand as a credible player in this community ahead of the Olympics. The objectives were to capture the energy, passion, and unifying power of street dance, connect Nike authentically to dance culture on a global scale, and position Nike as a brand that understands and celebrates dance ahead of breakdancing's Olympic debut.

Execution

The film is a vibrant celebration of street dancers from around the globe. Dynamic sequences capture the energy and moves of the dancers in captivating ways. Close-up shots highlight the passion in their expressions and the intricacy of their techniques. Slow motion is used to accentuate awe-inspiring moves. The dancers are shown in various urban settings, from city streets to rooftops and subways to staged environments. A sense of a global dance community is conveyed, unified by a shared passion.
