Kansai Nerolac, a leading paint company had launched a new range of emulsion that has a metallic finish and they wanted to communicate in a very simple way.To have a first mover benefit in the paint segment, the communication had to be around the platform of metallic finish as a novelty. So we used a situation that is atypical of Indian schools. It surprises the consumer to reveal that the school peon is using the wall, painted with the metallic finish, instead of the metal gong to ring in the end of the day.
