Description

The brief was to highlight Nedbank’s involvement and sponsorship of the South African Paralympics team and to inspire the country’s performing athletes.

Execution

Before leaving for Athens, the athletes each got a present from Nedbank to congratulate them on all they had already achieved. The mailer consisted of a stopwatch that had an inscription on the back of it, reading, “Victory may be measured in seconds, but Glory is measured in years”.Using a stopwatch as the story telling device, we created advertisements for the national press, television and cinema. With the seconds calibrated as years, the needle would periodically indicate significant times in an athlete’s life, up to the current age of participation in Athens 2004.
