Background

In 2008, the PEDIGREE Foundation was established by Mars Petcare & PEDIGREE to drive dog adoption. Since then, they have made it their goal to end pet homelessness by 2050, ensuring every dog finds their forever home.

Despite this, people don’t associate PEDIGREE dog food with this mission, and so in 2024, PEDIGREE launched GoodPoints. An innovative loyalty programme where people who buy PEDIGREE now directly help shelter dogs in need, connecting their product to their mission.

PEDIGREE then needed to connect people to their mission.

To do this, we told a simple story. That while we dream about our perfect dog, there is a shelter dog dreaming of us. And now you can make their dreams come true.

Just by buying PEDIGREE, you are a Dream Maker.

Execution

Dream Maker tells the story of a young girl who meets her perfect dog in her dreams. Two souls who were never meant to be apart exploring the dream world around them, their bond growing stronger. As the film comes to a close, we pull the rug, that we’re not watching a young girl dreaming of a dog, but a shelter dog dreaming of their perfect home.

Because for every person that dreams of the perfect dog, there is a shelter dog that dreams of a loving home.

Outcome

PEDIGREE GoodPoints programme had a soft launch in NZ. Then rolled out in LATAM in March and Europe in August.

Turning millions of buyers, into Dream Makers, who make shelter dogs dreams come true.
