Description
Create a “hands” TV spot featuring Princess Fiona from the Shrek films to coincide with the release of “Shrek The Third” as part of HP’s “The Computer is Personal Again” campaign. Additionally we needed to create an online experience around the Fiona TV spot to further show the ways people can express themselves with their personal computers, reaching out to consumers of all ages, especially those with knowledge of the Shrek films.
Execution
In order to move beyond the traditional TV spot, we created a microsite where people could learn about Fiona’s notebook, download custom made avatars and finally, experience "YeTube" - you guessed it, the video sharing site of Shrek’s world.
In a partnership we formed with Dreamworks and YouTube, we created dozens of original viral videos, created by characters from the Shrek films, showing how these characters use their HP notebooks to express themselves. Gingerbread Man, Prince Charming and Puss In Boots all created and uploaded funny clips from their computers to the site.
