The solution: FUJIFILMtime (6x6cm/12expositions) pro FILM AND CALENDAR. A limited edition of professional slide film, brand FujiChrome became FujiChronos - FUJIFILMtime mailed as a B2B gift from FUJIFILM to pro photoscrystallizing the special nature of 'real' film and a special edition roll of FujiChrome film, with a calendar printed on its back: 12 months for 12 exposures.The message:FujiChrome is a special, prestigious medium : it's not 'just film'. To FUJIFILM,'green is more than just a corporate colour': FujiChronos is printed on the part of the film which is usually discarded into the environment.
Outcome
The result:More than 28% increase in FUJIFILM pro sales in Slovenia. An image of FUJIFILM as an environment-caring, creative company. FUJIFILM was bombarded by phone: everybody wanted their FUJIFILMtime film - calendar. Photographers all over Slovenia now have this FUJIFILM limited edition calendar on their studio walls and on the desks, a medium with one year (one year!) shelf life. Suddenly, experts and press started to talk about dia films. Great free PR + a trickle-down effect on amateur photographers: 'real' film is getting its luster back in Slovenia, and FUJIFILM is considering extending this success into other Central/Eastern European markets.
