OVERVIEW

Description

For the launch of the 3rd International Radio Festival, we presented surprising ways to discover new sounds.

In a one-take sequences we observe people unexpectedly discovering new, interesting sounds. In this episode, a young man walks into a lamp post and discovers the variety of sounds his head can make when it hits the post.

Execution

So as to – literally – advertise the show from down under, we developed billboards located on the pavement by directly integrating gully holes so as to create a speaker-look. Out of the gullies, the program of 'Kiss FM Melbourne' was aired through small speakers and also non-radio-listeners in the streets were confronted with the medium of radio – in a very special way.

Outcome

For once, the festival re-located from its usual space and reached more people before it even started. As a consequence, both the festival’s attendance and degree of popularity could be increased.
