An elderly man can’t maintain his home anymore, and his son knows it. Together, they tour assisted-living facilities, but the father doesn’t want to fade away in an old folks’ home. One day, while the son helps his father around the house, he notices the old treehouse and remembers the day his dad built it for him decades ago. He remembers his dad asking, “You gonna help me finish this thing, or what?” The son begins thinking about everything his dad has done for him, and realizes he can return the favor. After helping his dad pack up the last of the old house, he brings him to his own house, and surprises him with what he’s built for his father: a place to stay with family. He turns to his father and repeats the question from all those years ago: “You gonna help me finish this thing, or what?”
