Description
You have to be really desperate to steal anything from him, let alone THAT briefcase.
THE BOSS will use all his power to get it back.
Execution
We needed to produce a commercial that looked like a Hollywood blockbuster trailer. We managed to hire Mr. Donald Sutherland to star in the spot, but that meant the budget for the production was US$ 300,000.00.
Every aspect of action movies was studied and detailed and the director prepared each scene with precision and economy to shoot only the necessary takes to cut the spot, since there was no time or money to rely on extra coverage. Cinematography used natural light mostly (no budget for big lights or generators) and the choice for anamorphics was very important for the classic Hollywood frame composition. The location chosen was Prague, so we could explore the secret agent/ international spy atmosphere that this city can have. Production design and sound design, special fx, every department contributed for the final execution to look like 10 times more expensive than it really was.
This commercial was aired on TV, cinemas and the internet. In movie theatres, the surprise that it was actually a commercial was specially interesting.
