Description

"Run It" was created to inspire a 'Just Do It’ attitude in Korean Senegis (High School Graduates), and was written with the aim of inspiring confidence and originality. The video features sports stars that embody the mantra, such as Olympic hopeful SukHee Shim, HyunMin Han, Korea’s first half Korean, half-Nigerian model; Jessi, a top Korean female rapper; players from the South Korean National Ice Hockey Team and HyunMi Choi, world champion female boxer and North Korean refugee.

Execution

The music video was released online on Nike's social and digital channels on January 16 and quickly racked up more than 2 million YouTube views. It continued airing throughout the 2018 Winter Olympics.

The video and song were supported through print and digital advertising. Fans were invited to share videos expressing themselves through sport to Nike via messaging app Kakao. The best of the videos will be made into a fan-made lyric video version of the song.

Outcome

The music video quickly racked up more than 2 million YouTube views and had a worldwide reach, with coverage in US press as well.
