First Mobile Channel: A full 24/7 Saw III channel was created and launched on MobiTV (mobile television on virtually all U.S. wireless carriers).First Mobile Branded Entertainment: Integrations into made-for-mobile/broadband content. The top production company for broadband and mobile integrated Saw themes across their content. Content lived on 40+ viral video sites and four wireless platforms. First Ever Interactive Mobile Ad: A new technology allowed Saw III interactive mobile TV commercials to be clicked, taking consumers to the Saw III channel.
Outcome
In its first week Saw III was the number one selling DVD in the U.S. The campaign was so successful it pulled both Saw I and II DVDs back into the top 20 sales ranks. The channel was seen by millions of mobile TV viewers and each of the comedy clips was streamed hundreds of thousands of times.
