This is an entirely original piece, created and developed exclusively for Sea Shepherd to help spread the fight to protect sharks. The creation is relevant because most fins are used to make shark fin soup. Also, because the message is straightforward and at the same time inviting. Who gets the stamp becomes a disseminator idea. And the more people are affected, the greater the chances of pressing the authorities to protect sharks through laws against predatory fishing.
Outcome
The Sea Sherperd is an NGO and survives on donations. A client without money for big advertising investments. So we bet on guerrilla actions. The Shark Stamp was created accurate to talk to bloggers and people engaged in environmental preservation. The return on investment has been excellent, since a few pieces have been done and we've got a great result. Much more people are aware of the issue of killing sharks. The subject was further popularized in the internet. In three weeks more than 2.000 people signed the online petition for moratorium on shark fishing in Brazil.
