Background

Singapore Airlines has always been ‘A great way to fly’ for many of our fans. Post-Covid, we needed to reiterate our brand’s product leadership and service excellence, and resonate with people’s yearning to get back into the skies. Thus, ‘Welcome to World Class’ was born, demonstrating everything we do to reassure and elevate our passenger’s journey.

We started with one of our strongest and most recognisable brand assets – our very own cabin crew and told a story of worldliness, anticipation, and personal hosting through their eyes. As they journey across the world, we see them interact with others and witness the experiences that make them who they are, to resonate with our audience’s longing to reconnect with people and to make new discoveries.

Execution

The film was shot over a span of 30 days in different parts of the world– Singapore, Mumbai, New Zealand, Shanghai, and Barcelona. We chose to deviate away from synthetic set builds, relying only on the sheer beauty of the different parts of the world that we fly to.

We wanted to craft an intimate reminder of the joy of travel post-pandemic, transporting the viewer seamlessly between lush breath-taking forests, chance encounters with new friends, and the electricity of bustling streets.

Our love letter to travel and showcase of our cabin crew’s global experiences launched around the world at high-profile places like New York Times Square, Hachiko Square in Tokyo, Ion in Singapore, Los Angeles Times building and Piccadilly Circus in London.
