Description

Welcome to the “Urban Loft” from Siemens: Instead of setting up different product areas, we staged the brand’s innovations in a modern loft. That way the advantages of the connected home are displayed in the most authentic and approachable way so the visitors get inspired by the visionary technology and products.

Execution

Product exhibition and staging conflate into authentic living spaces. Exhibits, theme islands and devices are connected in a single polygonal space. Hightech and well-being complement each other easily. Trade show visitors had an opportunity to try all devices first-hand and sensed that the technology of the future doesn’t just “work” – these smart solutions actually simplify people’s everyday lives.

To illustrate the future of the connected home, we started the unique “Mykie”. It was showcased at the heart of Siemens’ completely connected kitchen. All of its features and functionalities are displayed and explained here.

Outcome

Berlin’s IFA is the world’s largest trade show for consumer electronics and household appliances.

In 2016, 242,000 people attended the show – of these, 42,300 were industry visitors. Siemens presented nearly 300 innovative devices from eight product divisions at its booth, which spanned 3,615 m².

The exhibition was mentioned around 1,500 times in the press, with Mykie attracting the most attention, and generated 177 million media contacts. These figures correspond to over three million euros in advertising.
