Execution
• Signature believes that celebrating the spirit of artistes who are trying to ‘make their own’ is the perfect way to pay tribute to Signature’s distinct legacy that holds its own.
• ‘Signature Expressions’ is hence a fitting medium to bring alive this proposition – It is a mentorship programme and platform for musicians and bands with a unique and signature sound to showcase their talent.
• The entire activity culminated in a grand finale at the Signature Derby with the mentors performing with their mentees.
• On ground at the event, Signature sought an activation that would help even non-musicians connect with the spirit of music.
• So we created an innovative digital xylophone featuring Signature bottles that allowed even non-musical folk to create their own music.
Outcome
• A kiosk was created with a screen on top and bottles (Signature) were displayed up front.
• Users were given drum sticks and were asked to strike the bottles gently as they wished.
• Users could also select a musical instrument of their choice.
• Upon striking the bottles, the chimes were converted and magnified into the music of the selected instrument.
• Preset scratches and beats were fed into the system and users could create their own unique beat that was then translated onto the screen in the form of attractive graphics.
The installation was a massive hit at the Signature Derby with people of all age groups trying their hand at creating their own unique tune!
