OVERVIEW

Description

Aware of this, Childfund made Small Voices Big Dreams, one of the biggest opinion surveys to boys and girls around the world. This year, because of the 25º anniversary of the United Nations Convention on the Rights of Child more than 6,000 boy and girls in 44 countries told us why their rights are important.

The most common children’s answer worldwide is that the rights protection is not taken into account, and the children are not listened.

Execution

Based on that, we decided to encourage children so they could write letters to worldwide leaders and also to other adults telling them what they think, and also asking them something very simple, but powerful: Respect for their rights.

Outcome

20.000 kids wrote letters to their parents, adults and leaders telling them what they think about their rights.

We got more than 450 media impressions worldwide.

The video was watched more than 10 million times in just one day.

The letters were sent to the world leaders and now they are used as study material for human rights issues.

The hashtag #smallvoicesbigdreams was trending topic on twitter. It had more than 15860 mentions and 13.7 million web impressions.
