Description
"I have always been bothered by the fact that a lot of spirit and inspiration within the design process gets lost because only the girl and her accessories remain as protected areas". These are the words of Stefan Eckert. The good connections between Stefan Eckert and Florian Sigl lead to the idea to find a so far unique method to present his current collection. Close relations to Musion - London (inventor of special holographic foil) amplified the idea to create the very first fashion show based on 3D holographic technique worldwide.
The challenge was to find a symbiosis between collection and technique. Within 2 days a concept was created and filmed at Cinegate Studios Hamburg. Director Florian Sigl and designer Stefan Eckert produced one of the largest holographic projections on a special foil of 12m by 9m. The strategy to combine new unseen technique and concept seeks to underline the spirit of Stefan Eckert’s new collection. About 850 people from press, friends and clients became witness of the worldwide first holographic fashion show at Kampnagel / Hamburg on March 31st, 2011.
Execution
Before the fashion show took place on March 31st, 2011 various print and online media like newspapers and social network got informed about the invention of a unique form and entirely modern notion of the fashion show as presentation format. Interviews with Stefan Eckert have been disposed to add the impression of the collection’s philosophy.Additionally TV and Press were also invited beforehand to perceive the reinvention of presenting fashion and to receive comprehensive information on a well-attended special evening event. 850 guests of business, clients and friends were invited to the actual evening of the show. Press comments can be found on radio, tv, www and furthermore print newspapers reported on this exclusive evening. The remarkable feedback on the fashion show was overwhelming and enriching in every respect.
Outcome
Both, client and consumer became part of an extraordinary experience. Effect of the interaction between 3D fashion show and the current collection of Stefan Eckert was an inimitable spectacle.The event was praised on TV, www, Newspaper, Radio for e.g. This opened many doors with new business contacts. Another result is that Stefan Eckert and his collection received various requests to collaborate with different production companies.
